I’m so excited because one of my favorite bands, Terraplane Sun, has a new side project called The Palms. It’s super chill and perfect for when you just want to relax at the beach or play at the office. You can check them out on Soundcloud or Spotify.
I saw Genevieve perform last night at the Hotel Cafe and I have to say that I’m completely obsessed. I’ve heard her music before, but seeing her live definitely gave me a new perspective on her music. She’s about to head out on tour so make sure to see her in your city. xx
Over the weekend I went to The Record Company’s album release party and they are insane live. They are one of those bands that must be seen live to fully appreciate their power and musicianship. The whole album is on Spotify, but here’s a video that I found from the show with one of my favorite songs.
I recently came across Coast Modern’s “Hollow Life” and it’s been on repeat ever since. It’s a fun song that you can let loose and dance to in the middle of your living room (or at least I do).
The LA duo recently told Nylon Magazine, “‘Hollow Life’ was one of the first songs we made where we had no agenda and were just playing around in the moment trying to make something we genuinely liked,” the band, comprised of Luke Atlas and Coleman Trapp, says. “After we stopped shooting at an invisible moving target, that’s when the sound came…. There are days in L.A. where, as amazing as it is, it reaches a boiling point and you get the urge to throw some clothes in a bag and drive to the desert. This song tries to capture a little of that feeling.”
Currently, my favorite accessory is a choker. Specifically in black. There is everything from black velvet to black satin options with charms ranging from $20-$200. However the simplest and most cost efficient way to achieve this look is to simply use black ribbon. It looks the same and will keep your wallet happy. Below are a few of my favorite style stars rocking their black chokers that you can use for style inspiration.
Happy Friday party people!
It’s been a while, but I’m back with some new jams. I love this band and am so happy to see some great new music coming out of Nashville. “Run” is my favorite song off of their album, but they’re all great. Check them out!
